MT5 error 10027: automated trading disabled by the client
Return code 10027 refers to automated trading being disabled on the client side. It is different from a valid strategy choosing not to enter. Start with the platform and program permissions rather than reducing entry filters.
Read the full message
Keep the numeric return code, timestamp and surrounding Journal lines. A terminal error from GetLastError and a server trade return code are different fields; recording both prevents an ambiguous diagnosis.
Inspect the permission layers
Check the terminal’s Algo Trading control and the EA’s own trading permission. Also consider account or profile changes that may have altered the platform’s automation state. Enable only the intended EA environment.
Test one controlled request path
Use an appropriate non-live environment to confirm that the permission error is gone. If a different code appears, diagnose that code next instead of treating all failed requests as the same issue.
Keep the strategy intact
A permissions repair should not require changing lot size, stops or signal conditions. MQLume’s editable source is useful when you want clearer error messages, while the underlying platform permission still belongs to the terminal.
